Discovering a New Running Oasis in Bangkok

This year, every morning after morning prayers, I put on my running shoes and hit the road to stay healthy. It gives me my daily dose of endorphins, and a great way to clear my mind.

After yesterday’s lab meeting, Ajarn Yod told me to try jogging in the park, so I did it today. I usually only run in the area around my apartment, but this morning I wanted to try a new route, so I looked on Google Maps for nearby parks. The area is called Santiphap Park, and it’s between Ratchawithi Road and Rangnam Road. It seems like my run will never get boring when I run on this beautiful trail, as it has some free sports facilities as well as stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Anyway, one of my goals for 2023 is to live a healthier & more active lifestyle. Although running has been one of my favorite things to do since elementary school. But I never really took it seriously. In 2023, I aim to run every day or at least five days a week (perhaps similar to Haruki Murakami’s running routine, but much less intense). Sounds like a big plan, doesn’t it? We’ll wait until the end of the year to see how the evaluation goes.
