Bio
I am a lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at Syedza Saintika University, West Sumatra, Indonesia. My research focuses on the neuroprotective potential of wild-type Uncaria extract as a BACE1 inhibitor in Alzheimer’s disease, using an animal model.
My areas of expertise include molecular biology, biotechnology, and bioinformatics.
For more on my research and publications, see the Research and Publications pages.
Key Research Interests
- Neurodegenerative disease: BACE1 inhibition, neuroprotective phytochemical compounds
- Molecular genomics: APOE genotyping (rs7412, rs429358), regulatory variants
- Clinical biomarkers: cohort studies in elderly population
- Gut-brain axis: microbiota and neurodegeneration
- Computational biology: in silico characterization of disease-associated variants, molecular docking, GC-MS/LC-MS-based phytochemical analysis
